hp laserjet 4000 optic mirror

I want to know if anyone can help with instructional manual or video preferably on how to reach optic mirror on hp laserjet 4000 printer? The right side print is faded the rest of page is great.

Download the service manual from the Internet. Lots of sites with free download for this printer.

If you cannot do the download, it would be difficult on a phone line, then power the printer down and unplug it. Lift the top cover and disconnect the toner lever on the right side. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to gently release the clip that holds it into the top cover. Remove the two screws from the front of the top cover (about four inches back from the front of the printer), open the rear cover and locate the two screws on the backside of the top cover. There is a catch on the right front of the cover, use a small flat blade screwdriver to gently release it and the cover will now lift off. Be careful because there is a ribbon cable that connects to the display panel. You will need to carefully unplug it. Then you have access to the laser assembly.

You may have toner contamination on the lenses of the laser assembly. Clean these very gently with canned air or a dry soft swab. If the laser was bad you would have other problems.
