HP 4250 Tray 3

I bought a 4250n with tray 3. I disconnected tray 3 a month ago and reattached it today. The printer recognizes tray 3 and prints config pages from tray 3, but Windows says there is no tray 3. any suggestions?

You might try a cold reset. Is it on a USB cable or is it networked?

If that doesn't work, try going into the driver tab for the printer. You might have to enable it. Not sure what tab that's under, probably accessories or something similar. If you can't find a spot to enable it, reinstall the driver.

It is networked. I will try the suggestions and report my results.

Thanks for the suggestions you two. To turn tray 3 back on you go into the printer's poperties. Select the "Device Settings" tab. Under "Installable Options" you click on the tray and select what you installed which in my case was a 500 sheet tray. Thanks for the help much appreciated.
