Hi I have a printer that is not recognizing the jet direct card. Although every now and then it does but when it does it hangs while it calibrates. When it does hang during calibration I can't hear anything moving and I get the led's on the jet direct card lit up. When the printer does calibrate and finishes its process it doesn't recognize the jet direct card. The config page says all three I/O slots are empty. I tried another jet direct card same thing. I tried another formatter and it was also the same thing. The formatter I tried is known to have intermittent problems. I'm thinking dc controller but not sure haven't worked much on these printers. Also does anyone know how to do a cold reset?

Hi Jenny,

To perform a cold reset:

1. Turn the printer on.
2. As the printer performs its power-on sequence, press and hold the "GO or CHECKMARK" button till all three control panel lights are lit.
3. When "SELECT LANGUAGE " appears on the display, press the "UP ARROW" button until "COLD RESET" appears on the display.
4. Press the "GO or CHECKMARK" button. The printer will perform a cold reset and then continue its power-on sequence.
