My HP 5000 is about 5-6 years old with 36,000 sheets printed. The 41.3 "unexpected paper size" error will display after the first sheet of every print job, whether multiple page or not. I have checked all paper trays for correct paper-size settings. When I print a multiple-page job, the first page prints fine, no smearing, no jamming, but immediately afterwards, the error code shows and page two will not print. Same error appears when the print job is only one page. When I try tray one (manual feed), the paper will pull in about half way (one sheet at a time, no multiple-sheet grab) and then stop. The paper jam error will then display. Any thoughts? Is it time to replace rollers, even after only 36,000 copies, or could the years have finally caught up with the rubber? ...one thing I'm wondering: I believe that before the 41.3 error problem started up, a youngster observed several sheets pulled in on Manual Feed, and then they jammed. From the wrinkled look of the paper that she pulled out, I'm guessing they were pulled out with a good deal of exertion. Could that have bent or moved something? Many thanks for any thoughts.
