hp3330 low memory error

hp3330 low memory error every now and then
report sheet printout says 32meg of ram but 5.75 free
how do we clear the memory

What happens if you press canel or enter?
Is the amount of memory the same in the driver as in the printer?

the printer is running fine but it tells us every now and then that the memory is low I have just done a fresh install on to a new computer so its not at that end.
We had to send some 15 page doc the other day then it started to tell us this memory prob. it sent the doc ok but it looks like it has stored something in to memory I have powered off the printer every night for the last 5 days but still says mem low. In the HP self test page it says under memory.... total mem 32 mbytes.... Available mem 5.71

What does the report tell you about the amount of free memory after you have restarted the printer.

The available memory should be 28 Mb, has it got some unprinted faxes stored in the memory?
