I accidentally dropped a foldable bed on the paper tray last night and I found that two pieces of small plastic broke/snapped off. One piece has the number RAI-3826 and its pair on the right side in the printer cartridge bay inside the printer.
I was able to disassemble the printer and I found that these two pieces have one screw each. By removing the screw I was able to remove the piece. It is very small, it was folded at 90 degrees and this is what broke off.
Can somebody tell me where I might be able to find this piece, RAI-3826, and who might sell it, and it's matching pair, I think that the other piece is labeled RAI-3825.
I have a laserjet III that has hardly been used. I would like to be able to fix this if I can find the parts.
I did a search on your site and couldn't find any reference to it. I also couldn't find anything in google.
Note: since I dropped the foldable bed on the paper tray (which is intact with no broken or cracked pieces), Paper jams almost every time. I took a look at how the paper is jamming. There is a little green lever in the middle, where the paper goes through, as soon as you open the main printer door. The paper seems to not jam on the left side, only on the right side.
After inspecting what damage had occured to the printer, the only damage I found apparent were those two pieces of plastic whose part numbers I stated above. I'm assuming that these are paper guides which are help to guide the paper not to jam.
I appreciate any help that might be provided.
sincerely, Jariep
