Ony my Laserjet 9000 stapler I print in a job around 2.000 pages. When I come back, lots of pages are out of the stapler on the ground. I print 10 jobs with 200 pages each, they should be this
1 job
-- 2 job
3 job
--4 job
But somehow the stapler does not seem to handle my usual DIN A4 paper right. Some sheets are just out of order.
How can I resolve this issue? Thanks!!!!!

Sorry, never seen a 9000. Google search points to worn rollers causing the stacker to lose control of the sheet of paper. See what you can find out there, you will be able to make more sense out of it than I could. Try the HP forum too. The rollers may be dusty or old enough to begin to lose their hold on the paper. Try cleaning them with OOPS or Alcohol or a rubber restorer compound like the one the printing press people use.

You mention the LJ9000 "stapler", I think that should read Stacker.
If that's what you are writing about we can move on.
1. What stacker are you using?
a. multifunction finisher (C8088A or C8088B)
b. 3000 sheet stapler/stacker (C8085A)
2. Did it ever work?
3. What's the page count on the printer
4. When was the last maintenance done on the printer?
Making an assumption, I'll guess that you have the C8085A.
The most common thing to go wrong with that stacker is the "accumulator", C8085-60531.
The accumulator comes with the "wings kit", these are the plastic pieces, one on each side of the accumulator that shake left and right causing the paper to jog so it lays correctly on the tray that lowers as the paper stacks.
The other thing to check is the "paper stop clips".
Walk around to the left side of the printer. Face the stacker, where the paper exits.
There is a shaft that is horizontal with rollers. It is the same shaft with the wings. The wings are at each end of the shaft. Toward the middle of the shaft are the two paper-stop clips. They support the shaft. Sometimes the shaft pops away from these clips. The tops of the clips are "U" shaped to support the shaft.

Thanks for your help! Printer page count is 120.000 pages and there was no maintenance done. I bought it used. The stacker, as you guessed the 3000 sheet stapler/stacker (C8085A), always had this problems.
#1 I noticed one problem: Some papers are rushing throught the wings kit too fast so they look out. But when the wings kit do their work with the following page, they go back in desired position mostly.
#2 The second problem is that the stapler "folds" the first page vertically in the print job on the 1/3rd of left side. Sometimes it is really folded like letter paper. Most of the time you just see the page was folded. This looks very bad if you want to sell the print job.
The "accumulator", C8085-60531 costs around 300 USD refurbished, I hope to find a way to resolve my problems without buying a new one ...

catchers mitt.
I don't understand it. Do you think I have to work with the catchers on the stacker? Thanks.
