View Full Version : Purple color on background and also on back of paper?

We have a Laserjet color 3600 here in the office. We recently replaced the consumables in it. It now gives us a purple background on the bottom half of the prints and also on the backside of all prints. I have run a calibration on it, but nothing has changed. Any suggestions?

Were the replacement toners genuine HP or refills? Go into the menu and disable CARTRIDGE CHECK. Remove the Magenta first and try the same print that was purple. Then try the Cyan. Find the clear plastic light pipes that bring the laser beam to the toner cartridge. Blow them off with compressed gas. Check the port on each toner cartridge too. Any chance you still have the old cartridges to use for testing? If a toner cartridge is bad you should be able to get it replaced. Please let us know what you find.
