HP deskjet F2280- compatible software?

Having trouble with my printer- an HP deskjet F2280. It has been working fine but all of a sudden is not. Tried reinstalling without the disk but this model of printer is not on the list of options so the software is not available. Would it work if i just selected a similar printer from the list? There are lots of other hps there, just not mine.

Go to HP.com, select SUPPORT AND DRIVERS, find your printer. Put a folder on your desktop. Download the driver to the folder. When the download is complete open the folder and click on the driver icon. It should un-zip and then you can install it. If it works then delete your old driver.
