Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew or had ideas about what might be keeping my MIO from upgrading to the last and final firmware?

My MIO initially was identified as a J2552A with the firmware A.03.15. I have Webjet Admin 10.1 but it kept saying "Nope! You're all up to date." But with software's inability to configure or talk to the printer, I figured it wasn't telling the truth. After some digging around on the Internet, I found I had to upgrade to A.05.05 first before I could go up further. After the upgrade to A.05.05 Webjet Admin 10.1 still kept saying I was good. I went back to version 4 and it was able to upgrade it to A.08.20.

HP's website says (and I've downloaded it) that A.08.49 is the last and latest. I've got the file off their website but no software will flash it to my MIO. Since everything seems to be working fine (after applying a printertechs.com maintenance kit), I'm not going to lose any sleep over not having A.08.49. But it is curious that Webjet Admin 10.1 (or version 4) won't recognize there is one more update.

Has anyone gotten WJA 10.1 to work with a 4M+?

We have done a lot of these over the years. Every one went from 5.5 to 8.49 with no problems. I don't think it is the WebJet Admin. These NICs seem to work well at 5.5. HP may have software problems on their end? Maybe they have stopped supporting this card? Try reseating it three times and give it another try. Then stop worrying about it if the printer is working well.
