Hello all. I have a problem that I hope someone can shed some light on. I am getting a 52.0 error after each print. I have replaced the scanner/laser assy, the wiring harness and the dc controller board. The printer seems to be working fine except for having to cycle the power to clear the error every time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Power to the scanner can affect it if not correct. The power supply next to the DC may be the issue.

This error indicates that the mirror moter is not turning or the beam detectors are not picking up the beam. Since you replaced the laser scanner assy if this new one is good then it is probably not the beam detectors. Can you hear the little "whoooooooop" of the mirror motor spooling up to speed? It may be wherever that gets its power is bad? I think it is the formatter that turns the laser on? Sorry, stabing in the dark here! Let us know what you find!

Interesting that the manual doesn't list a 52.0. It has .1 and a .2.
But that aside, change the DC Controller, that's the only thing that feeds the scanner.

In weird instances, could be related to faulty toner cartridge ... transfer roller ... high voltage power supply... toner cartridge contacts.
