Hi everyone,

I'm new to the Printer Tech forums so this is my first post. We have an Epson Stylus Pro 4880. It's been working fine for 18 months or so with Power Cleans necessary every few weeks. The latest series of Power Cleans have been unsuccessful and it's looking as though one or possibly 2 of the black ink jets have blocked.

I spoke with a print technician a while back who said that Windex tends to clear most blockages. As a result I have successfully used Windex on my small Canon printer at home, however, given that a replacement print head is over $600 for the Epson Stylus Pro 4880 ( it's a micro-piezo head by the way ) , I'd appreciate feedback on the idea of putting a small amount of Windex into an empty cartridge on the Black jets.

Any other ideas on how to clear this problem would obviously be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
