xerox workcenter xd 102

I have a xerox workcenter 102 and am trying to load the driver on to my laptop. I am using windows xp pro. I have successfully downloaded the driver "XP_XDEnu" from the Xerox web site and followed the instructions for installing. Each time I try to download I do not get any error statments yet the printer driver is not installed. My printer file does not show any evidence of the XD 102 printer being present. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

From the Xerox site, select the Postscript driver and install from there. Turn off any firewalls and antivirus. If file is getting glitched, try updating the NIC's firmware.

Thank you very much for the suggestion. I was able to successfully load the Xerox Global Print Driver from the postscript site. Unfortunately, this driver would not successfully print a test page or for that matter any other document on the XD 102. I am very open to any other suggestions.

Try the other connections, USB, or parallel to see if it functions. If so, the network connection has gone bad. On board, or a card in a slot?

Thank you again for the suggestion. I have to travel for about 3 weeks so I will not be able to test and reply. I am writting this in hopes that you will not give up on me due to the delay. The port I have been using is LPT1 and it is on the mother board.
