Every so often the printer say's that tray 2 is open and need to load paper in tray one to print.
Usually I can open & shut tray 2 once or twice and it will be OK.
Where is the senser located and what needs to be done to elimate this problem?
Can it be cleaned or does it need to be replaced?

If you pull the paper tray out and look deep into the printer cavity on the right, you will find a set of three "fingers" poking out which are supposed to be activated whenever the tray is pushed in.

There is a PCA/circuit board that is hidden "behind" those fingers, and that is a fairly common part to fail.

It's fairly easy to replace -- you can give us a call @ PrinterTechs, 866-352-7108 to order or for more info.
