Dear Sir

I Have hp desk jet 5550 When i given Print . only first Page is staying inside Printer i Press the cancel button paper automatically out . in printer is Printing next Page .


only first is not printing it give paper jam error hoe to solve pls help me

The first thing I would check is the paper in the tray. Make sure the arrow exactly points to the mark for the size you are using. If it is one or two teeth too tight then you can have issues like this. How many pages has it printed? It may be due for some new feed rollers.

A problem we had recently with a 5550 was the cyan toner cartridge protective cover was not opening when you closed the image drum assembly. This caused the paper to jam on the cover that had not retracted out of the way.

When the first page jams open the printer and see where the jam takes place. Then look carefully at the edges of the paper for any damage that might point you to the problem, or any marks on the surface of the paper.
