I have an HP laserjet 4 plus, and it has worked great for quite a while. it is on my home network, and I have PCs with Windows XP and Windows Vista, and they work just fine. I just bought my son a netbook with Windows 7. I tried installing the printer, and I find out there are no drivers for it! so am I out of luck? is there another driver that I can use with Windows 7 to get my 4 plus to work? if not, if I am out of luck - which HP laserjet printers here at PrinterTechs.com are compatible with Windows 7?

You should be able to download an older driver (maybe an XP driver, Vista Driver, etc.) and use that instead. HP has not written new Windows 7 drivers for some of their older printers, but the work-around is often to just download a driver for a different OS.

I just went out to hp.com. The win7 drivers are there for a LJ4.
