We have copy machines here that have a kit installed that will delete all data copied and printed from the machine. My boss then asked if there was something like this designed for printers also, to which I told her that I had no idea! So my question is, does anyone know if your print information is stored somewhere in the printer? If yes, is there some sort of kit or method that will delete all of the data once used, particularly confidential items? Any help would definitely be appreciated since I have no idea about this.

Thanks,

Unless you have internal memory that is designed for job storage, no print jobs are ever stored. Even then, you have to specifically tell the printer to store a specific print job. So, short answer: no; long answer: yes, but only if you tell it to and have a hard drive in your printer.

The short answer works good enough for me. Thanks for the quick and detailed response.
