problem with MP560 wifi connection

Hi,

I have setup a Canon MP560 as a wifi printer and can connect without any problems with a Windows 7 machine.
I have a Win XP machine on the same network but cannot add it as a printer.
The software that comes on the Canon disk cannot find it, nor can I manually fin it.
I can however navigate to the printer using its IP address in my IE, yet cannot add it. I even tried adding it via a new TCP/IP port, still no luck.

Any ideas??

Be sure you're trying to add it as a local machine on a tcp/ip port, as opposed to a network machine. Windows XP expects "network printers" to have a network domain and name, and does not use IP addresses for network purposes.
