Doing a 50 pg. test, stops at 30. One page half way in, and blank.
Quality 20 lb. bond. New toner
Replaced:
1} New rollers-all
2} Dc cont.
3} Main P/S
4} Fuser
5} Formatter
6}Registration and Feed Assy's. {it's a brand new printer now!}

Now gets to 40, but still the jam. Not finding anything related to this issue.

Ideas???

LJ 2200 printer has a hard time printing 20 pages let alone 50.
Any particular tray? all trays?

The few times I have seen this it was the tray settings. If the paper is too tight against the side and/or the end stops the "D" roller that picks up the paper will occasionally fail to pick up the paper soon enough. When it gets to the first sensor as it travels vertically it is too late and you get a jam. Occasionally we have had this problem with a tray that there did not seem to be anything wrong with it. The tray worked fine in another printer? Go figure!

Examine the leading edge of the printed sheets. Any nicks or folded over corners can indicate a tiny wad of paper hidden in the paper path somewher.

We have a lot of 2200's and they seem to work well. Difficult to troubleshoot when things go wrong.

Please let us know what you find.

Al

Sorry all, forgot to specify, It's a Lj 4200. I tried another tray, Al, and cleaned the P/U solonoid flapper.
Originally, it seemed to be the spring in the P/U assy. under the black plastic "flag". It was good for about a week, and now back in the shop. Going to try the compound drive gears, they may be sticking.

There is a paper sensor behind tray 1 that some times gets sticky and can cause this problem. You have to remove the Tray 1 assembly to get to it.
