I'm hoping you have the answer to this puzzle. I have 25 + HP Laser Jet 4250s deployed. I install a smart card to each, and store fonts to them. I upgraded firmware on 2 of those units, and now am no longer able to write to the file system. Using HP's web jet admin, I as stopped at a request for a file system password to unlock (enable) the file system, but have no idea what that may be as I've never set one.
On these 2 units I've performed a Cold Reset, with the same result. As far as I can tell, I either need to downgrade the firmware (I have only one version back and it keeps it locked), or come up with a password. Anyone know how to get past this?
