The 54.2 error refers to a generic "problem" with the toner carousel assembly.

The carousel assembly can be replaced ; but it is a fairly big / expensive job for an older printer, I would consider replacing the printer instead.

The HP Color LaserJet 4650dn is a good replacement ...
