I have a fairly new Deskjet f4280 printer here that glitches up prints constantly:

Sometimes it prints normally, sometimes it doesn't print at all for some reason, sometimes it prints parts of pages, like 4.5 lines of text and then just coughs up the paper. Sometimes it prints a single document print job in the "4.5 lines" fashion on 3 or 4 pages.

I've tried the official (13.1.0) hp drivers, I've tried the drivers that come with windows and nothing works.

Sometimes it helps if I reset the printspooler and powercycle the printer but only sometimes.

I'm using windows 7 64bit. I've used it with XP without any problems

Can someone help?

HP has a driver for you: Google: HP F4280 + Win 7 and it will point you to it so you can download it and some updates/patches. Have you already done this? How are you communicating with it? USB or Infrared or Ethernet? Give us more information and it will save some time. Please let us know what you find so others can benefit too.

It looks like you have done everything right. I do know that some printers/operating systems do not work well toghther on USB. Since this printer does not have an RJ 45 port it looks like you may have to go for a printer known to work on your operating system.
