Colour Laserjet CM1015

Hi All,

Just got a paper jam in my CM1015, removed the paper jam from the top tray, but now have a 50.7 Fuser Error - Turn off then on.

Now I've tried turning it off and on, removed all the toners from inside to see if there was still something blocked, disconnected from mains for an hour and powered back on, but still comes up with the above error message.

The printer makes a funny noise now on start up, sounds as if there is something stuck somewhere, but cannot see it for the life of me... I cant even find the fuser on this machine, no instructions on the net for the location of it either, hopeful someone on here could help me, as i need this printer for assignments that are due in this week :mad:

This is similar to some of the mid-level color laserjets with a scanner tacked on the top. The fuser is right below the upper cover assembly. Try going to Google with "HP CM1015 + SERVICE MANUAL. There are several sites that list it, some want money, others are free. Never worked on this one so this is all the help I can offer. If it is not something simple and you have a deadline you might have to put the work on a CD and take it to a friend or a business copy center to get it printed.

Took it all apart, didnt find anything, nothing blocking or stuck in the sensors, think the fuser is knackered... time to find a new fuser/printer
