Hi, I am new to the forum and desperately seeking some help.

After a tiny paper jam, though I am not sure if this was the cause, I suddenly received the message: 59.99 PRINTER ERROR along with: To continue turn off then on.

Having turned the printer on and off several times I am still receiving the error message and unable to print.

Can any techie help this technophobe. It would have to happen on a bank holiday weekend.

Any and all help appreciated.

59.99.00 - an error occurred in the secondary transfer engaging mechanism.

1st, reseat the fuser.
2nd, replace the paper pickup/feed assembly.

Pray that it's the fuser.

I've tried reseating the fuser and paper pick up roller but no joy I am afraid.

Could also be the motor(M1) or DC Controller.

Hope that you have another printer to use for parts.

Where was the original jam. And have you tried COLD RESET or NVRAM RESET?

Replacing the paper feed assembly is a fairly big job ... don't know if you are a printer technician or not... if not this is probably one you will want to bring a tech in on.

Sorry, but how do I do these tasks please? I can't find these terms in the manual.

What manual are you looking at???

Page 225 for the paper pick/up feed assembly

Page 220 for the fuser

Page 269 for the feed motor(M1)

Page 279 for the DC Controller

Page 446 for the Resets

I really don't think that you should even think about doing repairs on this printer without any experience.
