HP 5P paper jam

Can anyone help me with this. My printer has been perfect all these years...until now. I had a bad piece of paper jam in the first inch of the feed. i puuled it out, butnot to the right...so now Ihave been told the paper wheels unaligned. I need help walking through this. It can't be that hard, can it?

Probably no one on the list that has worked on one of these in years. They were the first kind of disposable printers and were very difficult to work on. Try cutting a strip of manila file folder and running it through the paper path to see if there is still some paper trash in there. Sounds like this printer does not owe you anything. Might be time for a 4+ or 5n or even a 4000. Much more rugged machines and the cost per page is much lower and they are easy to fix and parts easy to get.
