LaserJet 6MP suddenly says it needs more memory

Have been using this LJ6MP for a year and in the last couple of days, I have started getting the message "this job requires more memory than is available in this printer". I have 3MB of memory. Where is the memory on this box? What kind of memory does it take? Of course, I have no documentation for the printer. :confused:

Lift up the top cover, you can then release the left side cover and this will reveal the memory slots, they are standard SIMM's.
