laser jet 4100tn tray #1 pick-up problem!

I feel this printer requires a separation pad for tray 1. Can anyone tell me where I can get instructions on replacing this pad? The pick-up roller has been replaced and it is still picking up multiple papers.

Tray 1 can be removed without having to unscrew anything, it is in two parts, a bit of care is needed to remove them but after this is done you can reach the separation pad, this can be a bit tricky to remove and even more tricky to replace.
Newer versions of the separation arm have the pad clicked into the arm, you won't have to replace the whole arm if that is the case.
