I have installed the HP Printing PCL 6 (v.5.0) (61.91.12.106) driver on Windows XP. Under the printer's properties, it says "maximum resolution 1200 dpi" (which is true), but when I print, the only choice from the driver is 600. An older driver let me print at 1200.

You should reinstall the old driver or try a different one; the printing options do vary from driver to driver. Usually HP's PostScript drivers have the most advanced printing options.

This is a the newest driver for the 5000 listed on the HP website. Yes, I could reinstall the old one, but the new one has advantages. I was hoping there was a solution, since it seems like such an obvious error.
