Replaced ETB, 1 week later customer reported noise. Today verified noise--seems to happen during calibration. Gentle pulling pressure on ETB handles while installed and running (top cover cheated) diminishes noise. No jams. Good PQ. Also replaced fuser based on print count only. Both ETB and fuser new, genuine HP.
Ran unit with toners removed one at a time--no change.
Question 1: does the ETB run at different speeds? Noise only really happens during calibration, not printing. Observation of one marked drive belt in ETB seems to show the ETB runs FASTER during calibration than printing.
Any ideas or known history of bad ETB units/suggestions appreciated!
