The display keeps showing.

Low Transfer Kit

The transfer kit is relativley new. Less than2 months old.

I have tried re-setting the printer with a cold re-set and performing a firmware upgrade as reccomended by HP tech support. This has not cured the problem. I have also tried re-setting the transfer kit life in the service menu but again this has not cured the problem.

Anyone any ideas ?

As I have told several posts, CLEAN! the unit. It takes removing all covers, and multiple parts, not just a little blowing, or brushing!
The point is, users dont care what the unit has wrong, as long as THEIR job gets printed. Failure to properly clean sensors, clutches, switches, solonoids, and to seriously blow out the dust\toner gives you what you deserve: a failing printer that could have a longer life if only you listend to a pro.
Yep, thats me, a real pro. and trust me, it takes a lot of work to clean these.
Removal of major components is a must! You will be surprised by how much crud is in them, and where it gets into! Lots of hidden flags and switches too!
