Kodak ESP-3 installation problem

I tried to install a Kodak ESP-3 but halfway through the installation failed with a code number as an error message. After visiting Kodak support, I used their "Clear Utility for Kodak Software" and then their "All-in-One Software Downloads" which also failed. I tried all 3 of these procedures twice more but with the same results. I then went to my wife's computer, which is 5' feet away and installed the printer from the CD...no problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Anything different about your computers? Different versions of Windows, perhaps? Try turning off AntiVirus software or similar conflicting background software ...
