:confused:please my laserjet printer 1010 is dead.it doesnt power anything.i loosed the printer and discovered that the 400v capacitor has swollen and i tested the fuse,it doesnt show continuity.please i want to know if there is any other thing that can make the printer not to power if i change the capacitor and the fuse.i look to hear from some one in our forum.thanks

These printers are considered disposable so not much advice is offered from HP. The power supply is a switching power supply and those are very difficult to repair even when you have all the special equipment you require. It will not hurt to try the capacitor and fuse. Please let us know what you find.

the set was powerd immediately i changed the power diodes,capacitor,and fuse.thanks
