I purchased a new HP LaserJet P1505 printer thinking it came with a PCL5 driver. We use a software that will only work with a PCL5 or PCL5e compatible printer. This printer is not working with the software. The driver for this printer has no information as to what it is. I have been to HP's website and ran the Check for updates for my printer option and actually updated the driver. It still does not work. HP does not specifically offer a PCL5 driver on their site. Any ideas if I can get this to work or not?

Thanks!

HP's drivers are often fairly generic so that you can use almost any laser printer driver for general printing (Word documents and such) ...

try downloading a printer driver for a popular printer, like a LaserJet 4000 PCL5 driver etc, and see if that will work.

The only times you really run into problems with this "workaround" is when you're printing a fairly unique document with speical features (like a feature-rich PDF).
