View Full Version : LJ 4+ won't reset IP
I have gone through the mio menu and disabled bootp, and I can't figure out how to reset the IP manually. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a site that has the instruction listed?
I'm in bad need of help here fellas, this is the printer that paychecks are done on!!!
Thanks in advance,
Eric
Ip address is: 192.168.1.31
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.224
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
At the top of the column that has the IP info in it, the TCP/IP status: 42
Then it says "Invalid IP Address"
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Eric

If you can and the settings aren't too unique try resetting the printer to factory defaults.

Where did the IP address come from? (ie. network admin) The subnet seems unusual. Try 255.255.255.0 and see if it works. You should be able to do this through the set-up menu.

You need to go back into the MIO menu, confirm that bootp is disabled. Then as you scroll thru the menu you should see a "configure TCP/IP" setting that you need to set the answer to yes and then press enter so the asterick appears next to the yes, press item again and that should take you to the prompt to enter the IP manually. Remember that after every change you make you must press enter so the asterick appears next to it, that tells you the change took and it is locked to that. Continue to press item to go thru the subnet, default gateway, etc, and adjust all accordingly.
Hope that helps.
