I need to purchase a part for an HPp3005dn model 07815A laserjet printer. I have not been able to identify the part on the charts. The part is part of the Printer Cartridge track assembly. On the right side internally at the bottom of the track where the printer cartridge slides down there is a white wheel or disc shaped part that is supposed to depress upon the cartridge moving down the track. This part was damaged when someone tried to forcibly remove the cartride. It still depresses, when touched with finger, but will not depress when cartridge is slid in. Cartridge will not go all the way down. It is supposed to depress then pop back out and lock on cartride then cartridge is all the way in.

Currently printer still works fine. We have to put a piece of strong tape on part to depress it, slide cartridge in place and then pull out tape through track of cartridge...tricky and time consuming maneuver when we have to replace cartridge.

I need help identifying part number.

There is supposed to be a plastic arm connected to the toner cartridge door that activates the in/out motion of this disc-shaped toner cartridge retainer...

You probably will not need to replace the disc itself, but just reseat or replace the arm that activates that retainer disk...

Take the cartridge out and look at that "white wheel". As you lift and lower the printer lid, that "wheel" should be moving in and out.

It isn't fun replacing that "wheel".
