brother 2800

I have a brother 2800 that keep going through drums about every three weeks,
with not heavy usage.

any ideas.

Does it tell you to "change drum" or is it due to print quality? The drums are rated by # of cycles NOT pages. If you print one page at a time, I believe that works out to 3 cycles (1 cleaning and 2 print). Also, never use third party toner in Brother printers. Once it mixes with the developer in the drum unit, you won't be able to clear it out.
