The only thing I can think of is to pull the Memory DIMM and see what happens.

When I have seen this some of these suggestions helped:
- Adjust the margins on the print job
- Change the settings in the printer properties. Look for things like "Adjust the image to fit the page."
- Shrink the origional image size by a few percent.
- Edit the image to make it smaller by removing white space between
paragraphs or making a picture or drawing smaller.

Please let us know what you find. Probably nothing wrong with your printer.

thank you for the suggestions, I am not at home but i will try them when I get there. One additional thing -- when I'm editing in word it self it looks like it will appear on one page, but when i hit print preview it shows it on 2. I am working on very long documents which need print EXACTLY how i set it up on my screen -- print previewing constantly isnt an option

This isn't a printer issue, it's a software issue ...
there are several ways to views documents in Word, you're viewing with the "Normal" view instead of the "Print Layout" view (print layout lets you type and view exactly as it will appear on printout)...

click on View, change from "Normal" view to "Print Layout" view...
