Working on a Laserjet P4515. Initial issue was no paper was feeding at all, you could hear the "groaning" the old rollers made scooting across the paper. Ordered Maintence Kit which replaced all rollers (feed and separation rollers above trays and separation rollers IN each tray). Paper feeds successfully, however, randomly more than one sheet gets picked up, sometimes as many as 20 or more sheets are picked up. What other parts are involved in the separation process that may either need cleaning or replacing? All suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance

The rollers do all the work of separation ...
I'd make sure they're installed correctly... brush them off to make sure they're not "dusty" ...
If that doesn't help, I'd contact the place you ordered the kit from to get some different feed/separation rollers, sounds like a quality issue with the new rollers...

or try our feed rollers at PrinterTechs, they're tested/approved :-)

Actually, PrinterTech IS where I got the maintenance kit. Could the bushings behind the separation rollers in the tray be an issue? I inspected both of them and there are no cracks or apparent problems.

Are these multi-feeds only happening from one tray? ( I assume when you say you changed the rollers in all trays you mean you have the optional cassette installed.) If you swap the feed rollers from a working tray to the problem tray, does the multi-feed problem go away?

Also, what paper type are you using in the problem tray?
