We purchased four HP LJ P3005 14 months ago. One just needed a new toner cartridge (HP Q7551A) for the first time. The printer stated that there was 10% left in the cartridge. The pages printed were missing information, so I changed the cartridge. After replacing the cartridge with a new cartridge (HP Q7551X) the display still tells me that there is 10% toner remaining in the cartridge. I know this is a brand new cartridge.
Has anyone had this issue before?

There are frequent problems with these cartridges. Even new, genuine HP cartridges sometimes do not work. There is a chip on the cartridge with two gold contacts that connect to the printer. Usually you get a "Memory Error" since HP calls this chip a memory.
Refilled cartridges sometimes come with a cloned chip and the printer thinks it is a genuine HP cartridge. Most of the time the chip on a refill does not work. If the memory error comes up you just have to press the green button with the check symbol on it and all is good until you power it down.
Try turning the printer off and back on? Try a cold reset (be sure to write you IP address down if the printer has one). Is there another printer available that you can try? Please let us know what you find!
