M2727nf Scanner Errors

We got a machine that keeps getting these scanner errors 5 and 8. We replaced the whole top scanner assembly and also updated the firmware and now when you make a copy the scanner unit doesnt even move and it just prints out a blank page...which is what i thought the firmware upgrade was supposed to fix?

Did the scanner errors 5 & 8 go away with the new scanner assembly?

You have to replace the scanner assembly and the formatter at the same time. Then verify the firmware version and update if necessary
