hp lj9000 sorter c8085a machine says warming up

i have 50 peace c8085a 3000 sheet staple stackers that when pluged in, the machine well display warming up all the time on the machine display with no ready lite on machine panel. when the interlock is opened and the sorter is moved away from the machine, the sorter cycles like the switch is reversed.
changed the control board and its still the same.any ideas !

Did the stacker ever work?
When was the last time that it worked?
Was it worked on at any time because it was broke?

Give peas a chance!
Without it, does printer get to ready?
Cables switched when re-installing control bd.?
Start printer alone, make sure the stacker is set in the menu. Turn off.
Add stacker, and re-start. Any flags stuck?

i found the trouble, the paper path assy.part #c8085-60501 as a complete unit is defective. thanks anyway all.
