HP LJ200- print quality, light pages

We are looking at a LJ2200 that prints light pages every other page. Sometimes it is ok for 2 pages. When the page print is light, the whole page is light especially the horizontal bands when printing the config page (gray instead of black)

We put the cartridge in another LJ2200 that they have and it worked fine. It is a recharge ctg.

You could swap the transfer roller from the working 2200 into the non-working 2200 ... see if the transfer roller is the problem ...

If not , this model is prone to failure of the laser scanner ...
