We have a number of LBP3460 Canon printers that are on our network. We have a problem that when you want to print more than 1 copy ( of a document, email etc) will it only print out 1 copy. File > Printer > Number of copies > eg 5 copies. It will only print 1. If you go into the printer properties can change the number of copies to 5 then it will print 5 copies. But because you are changing the printer settings it will stay on the number you enter and you will have to change this setting every time.

The printers are using either PCL 6 and PCL 5e and this problem occurs for both. The people that use these printer are not IT workers so they do not understand how it works to making it as easy as possble is a must. Any advice would be very helpful

Has the multiple copy feature ever worked for these printers on your network?

I'm curious if other driver features are "lost in transmission", like if you tell it to print in EconoMode or to Reverse Collate. If the document's content is being transferred to the print server fine, but the special settings are being lost like the number of copies, etc. I would definitely think it's an issue of similar but mismatched drivers.

You should look at what driver is on the print server as compared to the client machines?
You were saying there was a mix of PCL5e and PCL6 drivers -- can you make them all match on all machines, client and server?
Also, you should look at the driver authors -- are these drivers a mix of standard Windows drivers from Microsoft, and drivers downloaded directly from Canon? Usually the drivers from the manufacturer are better / have more specific advanced features. Although multiple prints is not exactly an advanced feature :-)
