hp5035 multifunction

puts out (totally) blank prints from doc feeder &platen glass. No print on pages from internal printouts too. Also has event code of 10.50.10 plus 2 other 10 codes. 10.50.10 refers to lack of communication with printer cartridge
have tried new cartridge, marking drum (does rotate), RnR arm for cartridge communication etc.

Anyone had any similar problems?

Have you done a half test to see if an image is on the toner?
The shutter for the scanner may not be actuating. Check the slot either actuated by the door, or the toner. Re-seat scanner cables.

laser shutter is working as I went thru the system for that. have run stop test and coldrestart plus using test for bypassing formatter. looking at replacing laser unit.

Try the scanner not the laser. Do any test prints work?
