laserjet 6 flashing light

I work at a school and I have two Laserjet 6 printers which displays a flashing orange light on the top light. the other two lights are not lit. Any Ideas?

You must mean 6p. That light could be a few different things. 1) It could be detecting a paper jam (real or false). 2) It may not be recognizing the toner cartridge is in place. 3) It could be not detecting the lid of the machine is closed. I recommend having it serviced. Hope this helps, Jim
