Problem with one CLJ4700 the printer shows 51.22 error laser error.

I have replaced 3x LSU, DC controler, firmware module, I have tryed cold reset, replacing ITB, NVRAM initialization, reseating cables, changing LSU-s connectors on DCC nothing helps.

If anyone has any idea I would realy appreciate it.

Regards.

Did you do calibrations, etc. after installing the new scanners?

Did you try downloading a firmware update?

A long shot -- you might try the toner cartridges...specifically Magenta....

I have a little progress.
When I turn on printer without toner cartridges, and disable cartridge check after placing cartridges in printer the printer goes to Ready but when I try to print engine test or configuration page printers starts to print, paper is picked up from tray 2 goes maybe 1" in ITB and 51.22 error shows on display.

I have upgraded firmware and also after disabling cartridge check mixed position of toner cartridges in printer but that also didn't help 51.22 is shown after paper is picked in ITB.

Currently I don't have spare toner cartridges but I will have them today or tomorrow so will let you now what happens with other cartridges.

If anyone have any more idea please let me know.

Set of other 4 toners didn't resolve problem.

There's the E-label PCB, and the Memory Controller PCB that reads the toners
Could be faulty, or contacts are dirty. Goint to ready makes this not the issue, so you may have a faulty scanner again.
Since the error is specific, try another.

Just to be sure ... you are replacing the Magenta scanner unit, correct? the Magenta scanner unit would be the second scanner assembly from the top in the stack of the four scanner assemblies...

Also, be sure you are doing a full Calibration several times after you replace the Magenta scanner ...

3 brand new LSU-s are in printer each one for KMC the Y uses old LSU.

You might try swapping the magenta scanner you replaced with one of the others ... that error specifically refers to the Magenta scanner ...

Yah, but the DC could be the culprit, or a nicked cable.
Scanners are all the same, so swapping two would let you know if it is the scanner or the DC cont.

HP has a known problem with the magenta on the 4700's. They have sent us replacement boards for printers that were dumpimg magenta toner and failing to calibrate properly.

When you say that you replaced all of the laser scanner units, did that mean that you ordered and received four scanner units and used those to replace the four in the printer at the same time? or did you replace one and played musical chairs with the other three?
