HP Laserjet 3015 fax problem

My 3015 is depositing a line on pages that we fax. It does not appear on printed pages. Any ideas as to what may be causing it or how I can fix it?

Pull the control panel forward clean the glass strip and white platen with a soft cloth and a touch of windex or other glass cleaner
