A client of ours has an HP LJ4000. The printer was giving a paper out message when printing to the manual feed, even though there was paper in the tray.
We blew out the sensor and it worked fine for another week or so. Now it's doing the same thing again, but we can't get it to recognize that there's paper in the tray.
I assume that the sensor went bad. Is it possible to replace just the sensor, or do I need to replace the entire Tray 1 assembly? Does anyone have a part number that I should be looking for?
Thanks for your help.
