Gday folks
i was wondering if someone could help me with this problem. I bought a CP1215 late last year to print off documents for class etc...
After printing off the set amount of black/white pages that HP have programmed into their software, i am now unable to print off multi page documents even though the toner still seem to have a fair bit in it. The only way to do so is to swich the printer on/off after every page which is extremely time consuming and annoying. i sometimes get lucky and it prints off 2-3pages.
Is there any way to overide this and get it to print multiple pages without resorting to buying new toner just yet?

Thank you

Take the cartridge out and shake it side to side a few times. This loosens and redistributes the toner. There is a tiny amount of iron oxide in the toner. This lets it become charged so the image roller will pick it up. There is an electrode at each end of the toner compartment. When the toner gets low these two electrodes no longer conduct through the toner and the printer senses that the cartridge is empty. Does your printer have a setting in the menu that says to keep printing on Low Toner?

What message are you getting on the display?
Run a Config page and check the firmware version.
You should be running 20080312. It corrects a toner reporting logic problem.
Of course you just may need a new toner cartridge.

As Big suggested...go to Print Quality/Replace Supplies/Override Out
This will let you continue to print.
