I am currently using an HP2800DN for duplex printing. I am printing black text onto pre printed forms, quality and speed is not important, but I need a reliable printer that does not jam. The HP2800 jams all the time in the duplex unit.

Do single pass duplex printers exist, i.e. duplex printing without a seperate duplex unit? Or are there any good recommended laser printers for this job? Budget upto £3,000

Thanks

If you only need black and white and are doing pretty heavy-duty use

-->
you could go with the LaserJet 8150 series printer with a duplexer option ... this printer is very hardy, intended for heavy-duty printing ... the good thing about the duplexers on these printers is that they are rebuildable ... so when the rollers wear out (as eventually all duplexers will wear out), you can get the duplexer refurbished or purchase another refurbished duplexer without having to buy an entirely new machine or even a "new duplexer" ...

also the 4250 series printer is fast, hardy, and has a removeable duplexer option so the duplexer is replaceable without having to order a new printer ...
